SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — The distance runners opened the 2020 season for the Cal Lutheran track & field team as the Regals traveled to Westmont College for the On Your Marks Meet on Saturday.
The team sent three runners that competed in the 3,000-meter run and the one mile run.
Sophomore Veronica Redpath was the lone Regal to compete in the 3,000-meter run. She crossed the finish line in fifth-place with a time of 11:17.19.
In the One Mile Run, freshman Carly Jaeger placed 14th and sophomore Sarah Briscoe was 15th. Jaeger finished with a time of 6:54.61 as Briscoe clocked in at 7:19.68.
The next competition for the Regals is the Pomona-Pitzer Collegiate All-Comers. Cal Lutheran travels to Claremont, Calif., on Saturday, Feb. 15, for a start time of 10:30.
