Regals No. 1 Seed in SCIAC Postseason Tournament

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Cal Lutheran women's water polo is the No. 1 seed in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Postseason Tournament and host No. 4 La Verne on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Samuelson Aquatics Center.

The winner between the Regals and Leopards advances to the championship game, which will be held Sunday at 12 p.m. at the highest remaining seed.

Lexi Rond leads the 5-0 Regals with 21 goals and teammates Jessica Diaz and Kaitlin Gardhouse have scored 11 and 10, respectively. Gardhouse and Kemi Djikstra keep the ball moving and both have tallied 12 assists. 

The Regals have outscored their opponents 87-33. Five different Regals have tallied five or more steals and CLU has held teams to less than 10 points in four of the five games. Izzy De Souza has been in goal and totaled 51 saves.
