SANTA BARBARA, Calif.— The Cal Lutheran Regals finally made their way to court Tuesday afternoon against the Westmont Warriors after having their first two games of the season cancelled due to weather but fell by a final score of 7-2.
Starting with doubles, court three was the first to finish with JoAnn Taylor and Nicole Alvarez taking a win 8-2. Following the win, court two with Sarah Seeman and Brennan Foreman fell to the Warriors 8-3. Lastly, on court one, Christie Kurdys and Lilijana Peters-Semak took a close loss 7-8.
Moving on to the first Regals singles match-up of the season, first to finish was Foreman, on court five, with a loss of 3-6 and 3-6. Next to finish, on court four, was Alvarez, (3-6, 2-6), followed by Taylor on court six (5-7, 3-6).
On court two, Semak took the first singles win for the Regals 6-3 and 6-4. Finishing off singles matchups, was Seeman on court three falling 1-6, 3-6 and on court one, Kurdys fell 2-6 and 0-6.
The Cal Lutheran Regals look to compete again on Sunday, Feb. 24, at Occidental at 10 a.m. PST.
