PASADENA, Calif.— The Cal Lutheran Regals start their last run of the season, along with conference matchups, against the Caltech Beavers, yesterday afternoon. The Regals fell to the Beavers 6-3.
Beginning the afternoon with doubles matchups, senior Christie Kurdys and junior JoAnn Taylor, No. two doubles, started with a in for the Regals, 8-4.
Freshman doubles team Brennan Foreman and Carolina Groff Hinojosa, No. three spot, added another win, 8-6. Freshman Lilijana Peters-Semak and freshman Nicole Alvarez fell to their opponents in the No. one spot, 8-4.
Continuing on to singles play, Semak, No. one singles, took the only win for the Regals by winning 6-3 and 7-5.
Taylor, No. six singles, fell to her opponent 6-3 and 6-0; Alvarez, No. three spot, fell 6-0 and 6-0; Hinojosa, No. five singles, fell 6-2 and 6-2; Foreman, No. four, fell 6-2 and 6-1; and Kurdys, No. two singles, fell 6-0 and 6-4.
The Cal Lutheran Regals play April 6, at 3 PM PST against the University of Redlands Bulldogs.
