Angus Scores Twice Against Willamette

SALEM, Ore.  Cal Lutheran women's lacrosse capped off their Oregon trip with Willamette on Tuesday night. The Bearcats had the Regals' number and won the contest 23-3. 

Meghan Angus scored two goals and Sydney Shin added one. Shin also controlled the middle of the field with five draw controls and Giselle Bonilla was next with three. 

The defense was led by Leila Bauwens and Kaitlyn Gill was three ground balls each. Bonilla, Bella Bravo, and Lauren Neal were next with two each. Bauwens added a team-high three caused turnovers and Gill had one. Bravo was in goal and made seven saves. 

Willamette took control of the game and scored the first five goals. Cal Lutheran and Angus broke through with 7:31 reaming in the first, but the quarter ended 8-1. Shin scored her goal in the second quarter, however the Bearcats scored six of their own and led 14-2 at the half. Willamette cruised the rest of the way and took the game. 

The Regals get back into conference play for the final six games of their season. Cal Lutheran is at Whittier on Saturday at 11 a.m.
