Kingsmen Race at Pomona-Pitzer Invite; Talbert Runs Program’s Sixth Fastest Time on Course

CLAREMONT, Calif.  — Eric Talbert led Cal Lutheran men's cross country at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite and recorded the program's sixth fastest time on Saturday morning.

Talbert crossed the finish line with a time of 26 minutes and 56.1 seconds as he placed 60th. Sebastian Sawyer had the quickest time at the meet and placed 57th with 26:51.8. Sawyer's time was over a minute faster than his personal record. 

Also competing for the Kingsmen was Jonathan Aguilar in 104th with 28:16.3, Logan Bury in 110th with 28:29.7, James Sutton in 118th with 28:41.8, Alexander Conn in 124th with 28:59.5, George Gaitanis in 129th with 29:06.1, Max Segeberg in 150th with 31:18.8, Xavier Reynoso in 156th with 32:46.6 and Ian Skrinde in 163rd with 40:54.3.

Bury's time was the 25th fastest in course history. Sutton and Gaitanis both bested their personal record by over a minute. 

The Kingsmen continue the season at the Highlander Invitational. Cal Lutheran competes next Saturday at 8 a.m.
