Kingsmen Earn All-Academic Team Award; 10 Individuals Garner All-Academic Status

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.— The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the 2019 Men's All-Academic Awards and Cal Lutheran garnered team status while 10 Kingsmen earned the individual award.

Cal Lutheran was one of 35 schools to earn the All-Academic Team award and recorded a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.06.  

Individually, Kaleo LeeNathan March and Ethan Wlaschin earned the highest honor as the trio garnered Outstanding status with their GPAs between 4.00 and 3.71.

The next group is Superior status, 3.70-.3.41, and garnering that recognition was Justin KrauseGeorge LundgrenJonathan Salandi and Cole Weiderman. The final group is Excellent status, 3.40-3.20, with Stephen BlaauwTaylor Garcia and Parker Joryall earning the award.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete's head coach must be a member of the ACWPC, while the athlete must attain a grade point average in excess of 3.20. Divided into three teams based on cumulative GPA, athletes can earn Outstanding (4.00-3.71), Superior (3.70-3.41) and Excellent (3.40-3.20).
