Kingsmen Garner Top-25 Ranking

NORMAN, OKLA. — The California Lutheran men's golf team has jumped back into the top-25 and is now ranked 23rd in the Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll. The Kingsmen are the only new team in the top-25.

CLU joins the ranks of the top golf programs in the country once again. In the fall, the Violet and Gold were ranked as high as No. 24. Also on the list are Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) foes No. 9 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and No. 18 Redlands.

UT-Tyler remains in the top spot for the third consecutive and fifth of the six polls that have been released this season. They received 14 first-place votes.

The Kingsmen have competed in three events so far this spring. CLU was fourth at The Master's Invitational and the SCIAC No. 1 and finished 10th at the CSU San Marco Invitational.

The next poll will be released on March 30.

Cal Lutheran is back in action Monday and Tuesday, March 19-20, and will compete in the Centenary Invitational at the Stonebridge Golf Club in Bossier, La.
