THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Cal Lutheran women's golf hosted their CLU Regals Invitational at the Moorpark Country Club on Monday.
The tournament featured 10 teams and 60 individuals. The teams played 36 holes on Monday due to rain in the forecast on Tuesday. The Regals placed fourth as they finished with 49-over-par. They shot 318 strokes in round one and improved with 307 strokes in round two.
Jett Legacion led the way and placed eighth with 10-over-par. She carded a 77 in both rounds and finished with 154 strokes.
Claire Cornejo, Tara Ng, and Ashley Zook made it three Kingsmen in the top-20. Cronejo and Ng tied for 14th at 14-over-par. Cornejo shot an 80 and 78 for a total of 158 strokes. Ng recorded a 77 and 81. Zook placed 17th at 15-over-par. She shot an 86 in the first and fired a 73 I the second for 159 strokes.
Grace Mitchell and Victoria Ruiz both finished in the top-25. The duo tied for 21st at 19-over-par with 163 strokes. Mitchell recorded an 84 and 79 and Ruiz had an 81 and 82.
Kaylie Hesse, Anna Bello, Maya dela Rama and Harlee Samp also competing for the Regals. Hesse tied for 39th at 28-over-par (86-86-172), Bello (91-88-179) and dela Ram (83-96-179) both tied for 48th at 35-over-par and Samp placed 54that 42-over-par (89-97-186.
Up next for the Regals is the SCIAC #2. It is hosted by Occidental on April 1-2.
