Ruhl, Tangeman Receive Second Team All-SCIAC Honors

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – Natalie Ruhl and Jozie Tangeman of Cal Lutheran women's basketball were named Second Team All-SCIAC after their fantastic seasons in the Purple and Gold, Wednesday according to league officials.

Ruhl (Redlands, Calif.) enjoyed a break-out senior season for CLU, averaging 11.7 points per game which was third on the team. The senior started 23 of the 24 games during the 2019-2020 season acted as the team's floor general at the point guard position. Ruhl scored in double-digits 14 times throughout the year, including a career-high 29 points in the Regals' 81-79 win over UC Santa Cruz.

Tangeman (Vancouver, Wash.) was Cal Lutheran's leading scorer this season, averaging 12.7 points per game while shooting a very efficient 45.4% from the field. The sophomore proved to be the focal point of the Regals' offense for majority of the season as she went 10 straight games where she scored 10 or more points and totaled 17 double-digit scoring performances on the year. Tangeman notched a career-high 23 points on Feb. 15 against Pomona-Pitzer and helped lead Cal Lutheran to a successful season under first-year Head Coach Kelli DiMuro.
