THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Isabella Veljacic scored two goals, including a game-winner with 43 seconds left, and Cal Lutheran women's soccer upset No. 11 Washington (Mo.) 2-1 on Friday night.

From heat to the rain, Cal Lutheran has played in all the elements in a span of five days. They are now 2-2 with one home game remaining before hitting the road.

Veljacic has now scored three goals in the past two games. She had the equalizer in the 65th minute and then called game in the final seconds.

Cal Lutheran found themselves in a hole after the first half. The Bears scored in the 14th minute, but it was the Regals that controlled the ball for most of the time.

The Regals took eight shots in the first half with three on goal while the Bears had two shots and one on goal.

Veljacic got Cal Lutheran on the board early in the second. She received a pass from Izzy Martinez, made a move on the defender, and fired a shot just inside the top right corner.

The Violet and Gold's defense stepped up after giving up the early goal. Ally Fisicaro, Aly Legrand, Avery West and Katie Weaver dominated the Bears' offense. The Regals only allowed two shots on goal as they put on the clamps. Logan Duford was in goal, made one save, and grabbed the win.

The Regals look to make it three straight wins as they host Caltech on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
