THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Cal Lutheran men's tennis started their 2023 campaign with a sweep as the Kingsmen took down Lewis & Clark 9-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Kingsmen made quick work of the Pioneers to open the season with a win. Cal Lutheran won all three doubles matches, taking a 3-0 lead.
Darvel Lossangoye and Jacob de la Paz won 8-2 in the No. 1 spot, Parker McBride and Aaron Moylan won 8-4 at the No. 2 and Cade Haffner and Rainy Wei won 7-8 at the No. 3.
The Kingsmen carried that momentum into singles. Lossangoye won 6-2, 6-3, in the No. 1 spot, McBride took the No. 2 6-1, 6-4, de la Paz was victorious 6-1, 2-6, 10-8, in the No. 3, Moylan won 6-3, 7-5, in the No. 4, Wei took the No. 5 spot 6-1, 6-0, and Haffner won 6-2, 6-3, at the No. 6.
Cal Lutheran stays home for the first four games of their season. Up next, the Kingsmen host Westmont on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
