LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Darvel Lossangoye and Jacob de la Paz both represented Cal Lutheran men's tennis at the SoCal Intercollegiate Championships. The duo both played singles and then competed as a doubles team. The event was hosted by the University of Southern California.
As a doubles team, Lossangoye and de la Paz made noise as they knocked off Division I opponent UC San Diego in the Round of 16. The Kingsmen won 8-5 and moved to the quarterfinal stage. The duo met the University of Portland and fell 8-4.
Singles play started with a round of 64. Both Lossangoye and de la Paz took on top competition. Lossangoye fell to his Concordia University of Irvine opponent 6-0, 6-2. de la Paz was against an opponent from the University of San Diego and was defeated 6-0, 6-0.
This was the final fall competition for the Kingsmen. They look forward to their spring season.
