Swimming & Diving Teams, Seven Individuals Receive Scholar All-America Honors

RICHMOND, Va. — The California Lutheran University men and women's swimming & diving teams have been selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as a Scholar All-America Team for the 2022 spring semester. In additions, seven individuals earned Scholar All-America.

Kendall Moffitt and Alice Peterson represented the women's team as Scholar All-Americans while Stephen Blaauw, Keegan March, Andreas Nybo, Luke Rodarte and Cole Weiderman were honored for the men.  

The women posted a grade-point average (GPA) 3.66 while the men recorded 3.45. In total, 731 teams from 441 colleges and universities earned the honor. Those with a GPA of 3.3 or higher will now become eligible for the  Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.

Greg Earhart, CSCAA Executive Director highlighted California Lutheran's achievements noting, " Coach Schreifels understands the values of training the complete student-athlete and that is evident by the team's success in the classroom."

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
