Kingsmen Finish 3rd at Masters Invitational

SANTA CLARITA, Calif.  — The California Lutheran University men's cross country team competed in The Masters University Cross Country Invitational on Saturday morning. It was the third meet of the season for the Kingsmen.

Results

The Kingsmen competed in the Men's Open, which was eight kilometers. The team time of 2:20:52.8 put Cal Lutheran in 3rd place.

Sophomore Sebastian Sawyer led the way with a second place finish and a school course record of 26:04.6. 

Senior Nicholas Abbinanti was the next Kingsmen to cross the finish line with a 16th place finish and a time of 27:45.5.

Junior Jonathan Aguilar (41st 28:35.6) and sophomore Max Segesberg (53rd 29:09.5) posted lifetime personal best in the 8k race.

Also competing for the Kingsmen was senior Luke VanKeersbilck (59th 29:17.8), freshman Eric Talbert (76th 30:09.7) and senior Xavier Reynoso (93rd 32:39.5).

The Kingsmen's next race will be September 9th in Claremont, Calif. for the Pamona-Pitzer Invitational.
