WALLA WALLA, Wash. — Three Kingsmen marked lifetime personal records to lead Cal Lutheran to a 14th place finish, Saturday morning, at the NCAA Division III West Region Cross Country Championships hosted by Whitman College.

The Kingsmen took to Veterans Memorial Golf Course donning orange ribbons marked with #TOStrong and #TOTogether in honor of those lost in Wednesday night's tragedy.

Just as he has the rest of the season, sophomore Nikita Khromets led the pack in 52nd place at 26:29.4. He shaved nearly half a minute of his previous record of 26:57.6 set at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational on October 26.

Also with a career-best, Rigoberto Baza followed closely behind at 26:57.7, good for 66th in the region. The junior breaks the 27-minute mark for the first time in his career and sheds time off his 27:12.9 previous-best also set at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.

Rounding out the trio of top-100 finishes, junior Henry Friederichs marked his own lifetime personal record at 27:33.3, crossing the line at 85th

Junior Rudy Correa crossed the line next at 29:31.9, coming in 107th, followed by freshmen Luke Vankeersbilck in 108th at 29:53.2 and Xavier Reynoso in 110th at 32:16.8.
