Hudson Solters - Men's Golf

Why did you choose Cal Lutheran?
I chose Cal Lutheran because it gave me the opportunity to play golf and go to a good school in a great area. I wanted to go somewhere that got windy so I could learn to play in the wind, but also somewhere that had good weather year-round, and Thousand Oaks is the perfect place.

What is your major/minor and what are you excited about it?
I am a Psychology Major getting my BS. I am excited about figuring out exactly what I want to do for my career and learning more about human behavior and research.

Favorite academic memory at Cal Lutheran?
My favorite academic memory is probably one of my papers I wrote in Abnormal Psychology. The paper was on Bipolar disorder, and I remember thinking it was extremely interesting and really was the first time I've been excited to do research.

Favorite athletic memory at Cal Lutheran?
My favorite athletic memory is probably at Comanche Trace in Texas. I had really bad allergies from the Bermuda and ended up getting a fever and feeling super sick the day of the first round. I ended up going out with no expectations and was tied for third after the first day with a 71 (-1). The next day I felt just as sick and ended up grinding for a 74 (+2) and ended up finishing tied for fourth. That week changed the way I view golf, and really helped me recognize that even if my physical tools aren't good, I can still think my way around and post a solid score.
