Four Kingsmen Invited to Rams Pre-Draft Workout

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — California Lutheran football players running back Chris Beeson, quarterback Adam Friederichsen, and wide receivers Aaron Lacombe and Wendell O'Brien have been invited to a pre-draft workout Saturday at the Rams practice facility on CLU's campus.

The quartet, and athletes from other schools, were invited by the Rams organization to compete at the workout. They will get to meet the Rams staff, have position meetings and then an on-field workout.

All four Kingsmen are seniors and were named to All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) teams this season. Friederichsen, Lacombe and O'Brien were named to the First Team and Beeson was on the Second Team.

The Kingsmen have also made their mark in the program's record books. Friederichsen finished his career with 52 passing touchdowns and 6,253 yards, which are second and third, respectively, in CLU history. Beeson is 10th in rushing touchdowns with 18. He holds the school record for rushing touchdowns in a game with five.

The wide receiver duo of Lacombe and O'Brien have been terrorizing SCIAC defenses for the past two years. Both are tied for second on the program's list for receiving touchdowns in a season with 11. Lacombe did it in 2016 and O'Brien matched it in 2017.

The Kingsmen will showcase their talents this Saturday with the NFL draft happening later this month from April 26-28.
