Competed in three singles matches for the Regals…played at the No. 6 spot and ended the season on a two-match win streak…she went 2-1 at the No. 6 spot and went 1-0 in the SCIAC…played in the No. 3 doubles spot…won two matches.

2016
Did not compete during the season…inducted into the CLU Scholar-Athlete Society. 

Carpinteria High School
Graduated in 2015…played three years of tennis, four years of soccer and one year of track for the Warriors…was on the All-Academic team for tennis, soccer, and track…earned Second Team All-League honors in 2012, 2013 and 2014…team won CIF in 2012 and 2013.

Full name: Merissa Souza…born May 15, 1997 in Santa Barbara, Calif…parents are Kurt and Stephanie Souza…has two siblings Hannah (16) and Miles (12)…family is currently residing in Carpinteria, Calif…major is currently undeclared…greatest personal sports moment was winning the doubles final set to clinch her teams 2012 CIF Championship…chose CLU because it was close to home and the small community.
