Regals Claim Five Events at Chapman

ORANGE, Calif. — California Lutheran University women's swimming and diving traveled to Chapman to take on the Panthers in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers defated the Regals 198-93. 

The Regals won five events, led by Kendall Moffitt and Alice Peterson with two apiece. 

Peterson claimed the 200-yard freestyle and the 200-yard backstroke. She touched in first in the 200 free with one minute and 59.06 seconds. She followed it up with a win in the 200 back as she claimed the event with 2:12.48.

Moffit took home gold in the 1,000-yard free and the 200-yard butterfly. Moffitt was first to the wall in the 1,000 free with 11:12.53. She added another title as her time of 2:14.05 was first in the 200 fly. 

Nektaria Anagnostou made it three Regals taking gold. Anagnostou had the quickest time in the 200-yard breaststroke and won the event with 2:36.42. 

The Regals continue the season on the road. Cal Lutheran is at La Verne on Jan. 29 for a tri-meet against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and La Verne.
