No. 2 Regals Host No. 3 Chapman in SCIAC Tournament Semis

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. — California Lutheran University Women's soccer earned the No. 2 seed in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Postseason Tournament and will host No. 3 Chapman on Thursday at 7 p.m. 

The SCIAC Tournament championship in on Saturday, November 6. The other semifinal pits No. 1 Chapman against No. 4 Occidental. The highest remaining seed will host the championship game. 

The SCIAC will charge admission for its championship events, with tickets available through Ticketleap in advance (Ticketleap link here), which are $8 for adults, or free for children under 12 (students with SCIAC ID also receive free admission). Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $10. The live video stream will be run through the SCIAC's web portal (SCIACtv).

Isabella Veljacic leads the offense with nine goals and two assist for a total of 20 points. Mackenzie Boulware is next with five goals and three assists, and Sonia Chan, Mandy Crawford and Elisa Shott have all contributed four. Three more Regals have scored two goals and seven more have one. Alexandra Fagerberg has facilitated the ball and kept the offense moving. She has nine assists and Danielle Vis is next with seven. 

Gabby Flores has been the go-to for the Regals in the goal. She has played in 15 games and totaled over 1,400 minutes. She has tallied 58 saves, allowing just 12 goals, for a save percentage of .829. Flores has combined with defenders Martinez,  Kaitlyn Chandler, Ally Fisicaro, Aly Legrand, Katie Weaver and Avery West
