Onesto Earns All-SCIAC; Second Straight Year

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Mia Onesto was named to the 2022 All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) softball team the conference announced Wednesday morning following a vote conducted by the league's member head coaches. 

Onesto represents California Lutheran University on the Second Team. It is the second All-SCIAC honor of her career.

The senior outfielder led the Regals, and was sixth in the SCIAC, with 47 hits. She was second on the team and 15th in conference with a batting average of .353. She recorded 11 doubles, one triple and one homerun with 19 RBI and 32 runs. She drew 10 walks and stole four bases. She only struck out seven times all year while having 133 at-bats. She had an on-base percentage of .404 and a slugging percentage of .474. 

The Regals finished their season this past weekend and swept Whittier in a doubleheader.
