Kingsmen Go 2-0 on the Day

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — California Lutheran University men's volleyball went 2-0 on the day as the Kingsmen took down East Coast opponents Misercordia 3-0 and Arcadia 3-1. 

Against Misercordia, the Cal Lutheran made quick work as the match last just one hour and seven minutes. The Kingsmen swept the match 25-19, 25-20, 25-11.

Logan Marks and Ben Weber led the way six kills and Jake Tucker added five more. Seamus McDonagh kept the offense rolling with 16 assists and Eli Moore and Weber had five digs each. Weber showed off an all-around game with four total blocks. 

In the second game of the day, Cal Lutheran defeated Arcadia 25-13, 20-25, 25-21, 25-17. Tucker and Sean Fitzpatrick both recorded double-digit kills with 12 and 11, respectively.

Taylor Marks and McDonagh split time at the setter position. T. Marks dished out 23 and McDonagh had 14 more.

Moore led the team with eight digs and Boris Horiuk recorded three solo blocks. 

The Kingsmen end their trip on Sunday morning with Baruch at 9.m. PST.
