Kingsmen Send Webber International Home With 3-1 Win

Thousand Oaks, Calif. – Kingsmen Volleyball hosted Webber International University in Gilbert Arena for their second home game of the year. The Purple and Gold came out with the 3-1 win over the Warriors.

The first set started out with a shallow deficit to the Warriors. They soon recovered and then continued to lead until the end of the set. They ended the set with a 25-20 score.

The second set started close like the first but soon pulled away in favor of the Kingsmen. They had a steady lead the entirety of the set but still ended with a win of 25-20.

New faces saw the court for the Purple and Gold in set three. The high score of the previous two sets started to show as the Kingsmen made errors. The Warriors pulled away in the end and took the set 25-18.

The Warriors started the fourth set with momentum. It wasn't until mid-way through when the Kingsmen were able go on a confidence-boosting score run to take a short lead. They kept this one-to-two-point lead for the remainder of the set. Jake Turner ended the match with a kill down the right line.

Tucker led the Kingsmen for the night with 13 kills. He added another eight digs and three block assists.

Right behind him was Logan Marks with 12 kills. He had an additional two serving aces, one-dig, and one block assist.

Sean Fitzpatrick contributed on both offense and defense with six kills, three assists, and five digs. Eli Moore held it down for a lot of the defense and had 11 digs with two assists.

The Kingsmen forced a total of 26 errors and had a lot of faces contribute to the 3-1 win. They head to Northridge on Friday to face the D1 opponent at 7 pm.
