2016 (Track & Field)
Ran a season-best time of 2:45.14 at the SCIAC Multi-Dual No. 2 (Apr. 2)…fastest 1500m of the season came at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational (Apr. 9) in 5:47.36…earned SCIAC All-Academic honors…inducted into the CLU Scholar-Athlete Society for the second time.

2015 (Cross Country)
Appeared in all six meets for the Regals as a sophomore…fastest 5k came at the Mustang Challenge (Sep. 19) with a time of 20:45.27…fastest 6K came at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational (Oct. 3) with a career best time of 25:16.50…ran an average 6K of 25:50.68…member of the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team in 2015.

2015 (Track & Field)
Competed in the 800m at the SCIAC Championships (May 2) and clocked a time of 2:35.25…ran a season-best time of 2:33.41 in the 800m at the Oxy Distance Carnival (Mar. 13)…inducted into the CLU Scholar Athlete Society.

2014 (Cross Country)
Competed at the SCIAC Championships where she ran a time of 28:06.82 in her debut season for the Regals…her fastest 6K of the season came at the SCIAC Multi-Duals (Oct. 17) where she ran 25:41.89…in the season opener, ran the 5K in 21:38.70 at the Adidas/UCI Invitational on Sept. 6.

Fallbrook High School
Graduated in 2014…Three-year member of Warriors cross country and track and field team…received most inspirational cross country coaches award in 2013…was a member of tack and field championship team in sophomore year…was team captain for cross country and track and field senior year.

Full name: Sarah Lillian Girgis…born on Mar. 25, 1996 in Plano, Texas…is one of Michael and Arlene Ponce’s four children…has an older sister Katie and two younger brothers Michael and Liam…family currently resides in Fallbrook, Calif.…chose CLU because of how athletic the student body is and because of the research opportunities…business and biology double major…career goal is to work for a hospital in advertising and research development.
