2012 (Track & Field)
Became a two-time All-SCIAC in 200m dash and 400m dash…ran to a third place finish in the 400m in a time of 58.79 at SCIAC Championships (April 27-28) behind teammate and SCIAC champion Julea Juarez…posted fastest 200m dash time at SCIAC Championships (April 27-28) in a time of 26.26 to place  fifth…ran fastest 400m dash of the season at a SCIAC multi-dual meet at Occidental (March 3) with a time of 59.51… part of SCIAC Championships 4x400m Relay team that clocked a time of 3:53.12.

2011 (Track & Field)
Named to the All-Conference team due to her finish in the 4x400m relay at the SCIAC Championships (Apr. 29-30)...is one of four Regals that helped set a new school record of 3:57.09 in the 4x400m relay at the Occidental Invitational (May 7)...finished eighth at the SCIAC Championships with her time of 1:01.12 in the 400m dash...also ran the first leg of the 4x400m relay, helping her team finish third at the SCIAC Championships with a time of 4:00.81...her time of 59.11 in the 400m at SCIAC Quad Meet No. 3 (Apr. 16) is the sixth-fastest mark in the program's history...other top times of the season include a 13.34 in the 100m at the Northridge Invitational (Mar. 12) and 26.26 in the 200m at SCIAC Quad Meet No. 3...named Cal Lutheran Athlete of the Week as a member of the 4x400m relay team during the week of May 2-8...first year member of the CLU Scholar-Athlete Society.

2010 (Track & Field)
Took third in the 200-meter dash at SCIAC Quad Meet No. 1 with a time of 27.20.

2009 (Track & Field)
Member of SCIAC Champion 4x100 meter relay team (48.85)...scored individually for the Regals with a sixth in the 200 meters (26.91) as a freshman...member of 4x400 CLU relay at SCIAC Championship meet...finished 12th in prelims in the 100 meters (13.45).

Member of Bulldogs varsity track team four years and cross country twice...member of school record 4x100 relay team.

Full name: Melissa Ann Muntzel...born on September 22, 1990 in Ventura, Calif...one of Dell and Roberta Muntzel's four children...has three older sisters Stephanie Jones, Kirsta Van Wagner, and Andrea who all competed in soccer...family resides in Ventura, Calif...chose CLU because it is close to home and has a beautiful campus, small sized, excellent professors and a big alumni base within the community who are extremely supportive of CLU and its students....majoring in Business Management...future goals include attending graduate school to become a registered nurse...recently became a certified nursing assistant...volunteers at Los Robles Hospital, CCE at St. John's Hospital, works with church for numerous community service programs and is a member of the community service center at CLU.
