Jaime Alvarado has been an assistant coach for the Regal’s soccer program since 2019. He helped the Regals to their 15th NCAA Tournament berth in that season. Alvarado's first coaching experience began in 2012 as an assistant for the boy's soccer program at Agoura High School. As an assistant, he helped the Chargers win two Marmonte League Championships in 2016 and 2017. Jaime then went on to become the youngest head coach in program history for the Chargers in 2018 at twenty-three years old. In 2019, he guided the Chargers to their first local tournament championship in over a decade. In the 2021-22 season, Jaime led the Chargers to a remarkable 14-1-5 sesason and an 8-0-2 undefeated league season which proclaimed Agoura's 4th Marmonte League Title. He is now entering his 5th season as Head Coach.  As a player, Alvarado was a 4-year varsity starter for the Chargers. He was captain for one year, earned multiple All Conference Awards and won a Marmonte League Championship in 2011.

He began his collegiate career at Oxnard College in 2013. He led the Condors to back-to-back Western State Conference Championships in 2013 and 2014. During his time, Jaime scored a total of 9 goals and recorded 4 assists as a fullback earning him All-Conference First Team honors. Prior to transferring to Cal Lutheran, Jaime played with UPSL Premier Division team Cal FC for two seasons. During his time as a student-athlete for Cal Lutheran, Alvarado was featured on the Dean’s List and led the Kingsmen to a SCIAC Tournament Championship in 2017. He appeared in a total of 36 games and had 20 starts as a center defensive midfielder and winger. He scored three goals and had two assists. He graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science from Cal Lutheran.

Alvarado currently coaches boys soccer for Eagles Soccer Club. 

In his free time Alvarado enjoys soccer, cooking, fishing, hiking, biking, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.
