Finished 55th overall at the SCIAC Championships (Oct. 29) at Prado
Park...completed course in a time of 28:48.77...fourth fastest team member at
competition...took 61st at the SCIAC Multi-Duals (Oct. 15) completing the 8k
course in a time of 29:36.72...earned 90th place at the NCAA West Regional
(Nov. 12).

2011 (Track & Field)
Competed as a member of the Kingsmen cross country and track teams...finished
71st at the SCIAC Championships (29:29.19)...time of 29:33.2 recorded at the
Pomona-Pitzer Invitational was the third-quickest time recorded by a Kingsmen
(Oct. 2)...chosen to represent both the SCIAC and NWC on the NCAA Division III
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee...second year member of the CLU
Scholar-Athlete Society.

2010 (Cross Country)
Finished 71st overall at the SCIAC Championships (Oct. 30) at Prado Park in
a time of 29:29.19...took 65th overall at the SCIAC Multi-Duals (Oct. 16) at La
Mirada Park in a time of 30:06.16...second year member of CLU Scholar-Athlete
Society.

2010 (Track & Field)
Took 11th in the 5,000-meter run at the first SCIAC Quad meet with a time
of 17:26.01...placed 24th in his section at the Oxy Distance Carnival with a
time of 16:49.40...first-year member of CLU Scholar-Athlete Society.

2009 (Cross Country)
Top 8k time recorded at West Regional Championships (29:29.90) taking 87th
place...finished in 69th place at SCIAC Championships (29:40.78)...first-year
member of CLU Scholar Athlete Society.

2009 (Track & Field)
Finished 14th in the 1,500 meter run (4:22.14) at the SCIAC Championship
meet...took 30th in the 5,000 meters (17:00.88).

2008 (Cross Country)
Made his CLU debut at the UCI/ASICS Invite on Sept. 6 and finished 89th with a
time of 31:35.30...competed at the NCAA West Regional in Salem, Ore. and ran
his best time of his freshman season at 29.21.98 (96th).

Woodbridge High School
Graduated from Woodbridge High School in Irvine, Calif. in 2007...ran for the
Warriors Cross Country and Track & Field teams all four years.

Full name: Brett Martin Halvaks...born on May 24, 1989 in Irvine, Calif...the
oldest of Robert and Jill's two children... has a younger brother Ryan...earned
a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science...currently attending graduate school
and is in the process of earning his teaching credential in physical education...served
as National SAAC representative for the SCIAC...attended two NCAA National
Conventions (2011 and 2012)...career goals include teaching or working for the
NCAA.
