2013 (Track & Field)
Earned All-SCIAC honors in three different throwing events...was the SCIAC champion in the hammer-throw with a mark of 50.84 meters...took third in the discus throw with a toss of 41.81 meters...and took fifth in the shot-put.

2011 (Track & Field)
Finished seventh in the discus (43.17m/141-8), 11th in the shot put (12.39m/40-7.75), and 12th in the javelin (40.46m/132-9) at the SCIAC Championships (Apr. 29-30)...other 2011 top marks include throws of 12.86m (42-2.25) in the shot put at SCIAC Quad Meet No. 3 (Apr. 16), 44.74m (146-9) in the hammer and 42.35m (138-11) in the javelin at SCIAC Quad Meet No. 2 (Apr. 2) in addition to his efforts in the discus at the SCIAC Championships.

2010 (Track & Field)
Took 13th in the discus at the SCIAC Championships with a throw of 34.13 meters...was 16th in the hammer throw at 35.40 meters...landed 15th in the javelin (38.43 meters).

Barry Goldwater High School
Member of Bulldogs varsity track and field and football teams as a senior...earned the track team's Bulldog Award as a senior.

Full name: Roy Ernesto Diaz...born on January 19, 1991 in Los Angeles, Calif...one of Ernesto Diaz and Sandra Mark-Lemon's two children...has a younger brother Alex...family currently resides in Phoenix, Ariz...volunteered teaching English to children in Japan during study abroad trip...chose CLU for the Business program...currently majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Global Studies...he hopes to someday live abroad.
