Roling is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

Prior to Cal Lutheran, Roling worked as the head strength and conditioning coach for University of Puget Sound (UPS) for three years. Throughout his tenure at UPS, Brent was solely in charge of the strength, conditioning, and sports nutrition duties for all varsity sports.

Roling attended the University of Nevada where he was a four-year scholarship offensive lineman (football) while obtaining his bachelor’s degree in nutrition with a specialization in dietetics. Upon completion of his bachelor’s degree, he continued his academic career at University of Nevada and obtained his master’s degree in nutrition. Brent’s graduate research project focused on the effects of specific antioxidant supplementation on cholesterol, fat, and bile acid metabolism. As a result of his research efforts, he was awarded the “outstanding master’s student” award from the department of Agriculture, Nutrition and Veterinary Sciences.

A native of Murrieta, CA, Roling is excited to return to Southern California after nearly 10 years away. In his spare time, he enjoys staying active and spending time with his partner Kayla, family, friends, and dog Zephyr.
