Chuck Nester was added to the Cal Lutheran men's and women's tennis coaching staff in the summer of 2021.

Chuck is a California native, born and raised in the San Fernando Valley and the Conejo Valley. His family moved to Thousand Oaks in 1959 (same year CLU was established). He attended Thousand Oaks High School & Moorpark JC, prior to becoming an Airforce Reservist (1969-71) as a Medical Corpsman.

Chuck has always loved the Conejo Valley and went back to TO High to coach the varsity tennis teams in 1985 and '86. The teams finished co-league champions both years.

He is an avid tennis enthusiatist and player for over 45 years in USTA tournaments throughout Southern California.

He is also a long-time business entrepreneur in hotel ownership, brokerage, and management and development.

Chuck & his wife Karen have raised two fine gentlemen, born in T.O., with loving familes and two grandchildren.
