Regals Finish Fifth at Chris Knorr Invitational

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The California Lutheran University women's swimming and diving finished fifth at the Chris Knorr Invitational, earning 243 points at the Samuelson Aquatic Center.

RESULTS

Biola University grabbed 766.5 points to finish in first place. UC Santa Cruz took second with 528.5 points while Pacific Lutheran came in third with 399 points. George Fox finished fourth with 259 points and the Regals came in fifth with 243 points. Westmont College rounded out the competition with 170 points.

In the 200-yard medley relay, the quartet of Avery Conrad, Emily Glass, Kyrie Fairbairn and Brieyana Walton finished in fourth place to open the meet for the Regals.

Emily Anderson got her day started with a sixth-place time of 2:04.53 in the 200-yard freestyle.

Glass notched the first podium finish for CLU as she finished in third place in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.13.

Madisyn Morin began her day in the pool with a time of 2:28.79 to grab fourth place in the 200-yard butterfly.

Fairbairn continued to impress with a sixth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle and a fifth-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle.

Glass returned to the pool and earned Cal Lutheran's only first-place finish of the meet as she won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:32.28.

Cal Lutheran looks forward to Senior Day, where the seniors will be honored for their hard work and dedication to the swimming and diving program, when they host Whittier Jan. 11 at the Samuelson Aquatic Center.
