Regals Host DePauw in Non-Conference Matchup

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – California Lutheran University women's lacrosse took on a tough non-conference opponent as the Regals hosted DePauw inside William Rolland Stadium on Monday night. The Tigers took down the Regals 22-3. 

The Tigers improved to 6-1 while the Regals fell to 1-8. 

The Regals scored all three of their goals in the third quarter. Giselle Bonilla scored twice and Hena Koeberl added one more. Meghan Angus had the assist on the Regals' first goal. 

In goal for the Regals was Mia Deck for the first quarter and Cameron Mendez for the rest of the game. The Tigers got off to a hot start and scored 10 goals against Deck in the first 15 minutes. DePauw inly scored 12 goals the rest of the way as Mendez made five saves.

The Tigers outshot the Regals 33-10, had more draw controls won at 20-7 and grabbed more ground balls with 13-8. 

Up next for Cal Lutheran is Occidental. The Regals are on the road with a game on Saturday at 9 a.m.
