Kingsmen Compete at SCIAC Championships; Record Third Fastest Team Time for the Course

CLAREMONT, Calif.  — Cal Lutheran men's cross country competed at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships, which was hosted at Pomona-Pitzer, and recorded the third fastest team time on the course. 

The Kingsmen had a team time of 2:18:26.8 and placed eighth with 200 points.

Sebastian Sawyer was the first Kingsmen to cross the finish line. He was 33rd and had a time of 26:28.7. Right behind him was Eric Talbert in 49th with 27:11.0. 

Jonathan Aguilar recorded a lifetime best, and the 15th fastest time in program history for the course, as he clocked 27:34.5 and took 63rd. Logan Bury kept the lifetime bests coming as he placed 83rd with 28:26.3, which is the 25th fastest time.

Also competing for the Kingsmen was Alexander Conn in 87th (28:46.5), George Gaitanis in 92nd (28:59.9), Max Segeberg in 97th (29:11.0), James Sutton in 101st (29:29.7), Xavier Reynoso in 114th (32:43.8) and Ian Skrinde in 115th(37:40). Skrinde's time was a lifetime best. 

Next up for the Kingsmen is the NCAA West Regional on Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. in Spokane, Wash.
