Kingsmen Clock Third Fastest Team Time on Ag/Ops Course; Three Kingsmen Crack Top-25 List at Highlander Invitational

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Cal Lutheran men's cross country clocked the third fastest team time in program history, 2:17:27, at UC Riverside's Ag/Ops Course for the Highlander Invitational on Saturday morning. 

Sebastian Sawyer was the first to cross the finish line as he led the Kingsmen, finishing 114th with a time of 26 minutes 1.3 seconds. He achieved the fourth fastest time on the course in school history. 

Eric Talbert collected a personal best and his time was the fifth fastest on the course in program history. His time was 26:22.5 and he finished in 137th.

Jonathan Aguilar record the 20th fastest time in school history, with a time of 28:06.9, as the Kingsmen kept setting top marks. He placed 219th

Also competing for the Kingsman were George Gaitanis (228th), Alexander Conn (231st), and Ian Skrinde (276th) who all achieved personal bests. Gaitanis' time was 28:27.2, Conn's was 28:28.5, and Skrinde's was 38:33.7 

Logan Bury also ran, getting a time of 28:40.9, and placing 236th. Max Segeberg finished with a time of 28:48.1 in 240th. Xavier Reynoso reached the finish line in 31:50.5 in 270th.  

The Kingsmen head to the SCIAC Championships Saturday, Oct. 29 with the race set for 8:30 a.m.
