The Kingsmen won the SCIAC Postseason Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Championship… Started 15 games for the Kingsmen… Recorded seven wins with 77 innings pitched… Struck out 68 batters to just 14 walks… Recorded 7.95 strikeouts per game… Had a perfect fielding percentage with seven putouts and eight assists.

2021
Started seven games at pitcher during his junior year... Recorded a 4.60 ERA in 45 innings of work... Led the Kingsmen in strikeouts with 28.

2020
Emerged as one of the top starting pitchers in Division III after a fantastic start to his sophomore season at Cal Lutheran…Posted a 3-0 record in his five starts…Allowed just eight earned runs in 32.1 innings of work (2.23 ERA)…Punched out 26 batters while only walking seven on the year…Earned D3Baseball.com Team of the Week honors after starting the season with a scoreless-inning streak of 12, leading the Kingsmen to wins over UT Dallas and Caltech.

2019
Made nine appearances, getting the nod for one start, as a freshman pitcher for the Kingsmen… Allowed eight runs, just five earned, on 15 hits in 19.1 innings pitched with 18 strikeouts and five walks… Recorded a 2.33 ERA and 2-2 record with one save. Made his first career start against Caltech on March 30, allowing just one earned run in five frames of work while striking out eight.

Crespi Carmelite High School ‘18
Three-year varsity letterwinner for the Celts… As a senior, was selected to play in the CIty vs. Southern Section High School All-Star game after leading his team’s pitching staff throughout the year… Voted Team Captain his senior year… Off the field, was named to the President Honor Roll and Principal Honor Roll, and a member of the California Scholarship Federation and National Honor Society.

From Reseda, California...Parents are Manuela Perez and Jose Juan Rivas… Also played for the Chicago Cubs Scout Team… Names throwing a complete game against Birmingham as his greatest personal sports memory… Chose Cal Lutheran “to continue my academic career and also my baseball career. I believed [CLU] would be a great fit for me to continue to develop.”
