Regals Take on Redlands, Chapman in Tri-Meet

REDLANDS, Calif. — Cal Lutheran Women's Swimming and Diving competed against the Redlands Bulldogs and the Chapman Panthers in their final meet of the season on Saturday afternoon. The Regals competed hard and tallied 94 points, but were overcome by their opponents as Redlands scored 229 points and Chapman had 185. 

Alice Peterson touched the wall first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of one minute and 56.27 seconds. 

Eve Miyagishima showed what she could do in the 1,000-yard freestyle as she came in first and ended the long-distance swim at 11:41.64. 

Peterson came in second in the 50-yard freestyle out of 14 girls and only missed the top spot by .33 seconds. 

The Regals weren't far behind in the 400-yard freestyle relay, and came in second place, in the first event of the day. The 200-yard medley relay team of Peterson, Brieyana Walton, Avery Conrad, and Kyrie Fairbairn finished with a time of 1:53.79.

As the women's swim and dive team complete this uncertain season they are looking forward with excitement to the 2021-22 season.
