Legacion, Zook Earn All-SCIAC; G. Cornejo Garners Character Award

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. Jett Legacion and Ashley Zook were named to the All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) women's golf team and Grace Cornejo garnered the Character Award the conference announced Friday morning following a vote conducted by the league's member head coaches. 

Legacion was named to First Team and became just the second Regal to earn that honor. In her first collegiate season, Zook impressed as she earned Second Team. In her senior season, Cornejo was the first Character Award winner in program history. 

Legacion (Anaheim, Calif.) took the SCIAC by storm in her first season with the Regals. During her First Team season, she had a stroke average in conference of 77.71.  He lowest round of the the seven rounds was a 73. She placed in the top-10 of all three conference events and tied for 10th at SCIAC #1, tied for fifth at SCIAC #2, and tied for 10th at SCIAC Championships

Zook (Simi Valley, Calif.) made a name for herself in her first collegiate season. She was second on the team with a stroke average in conference play of 78.71. Her lowest round was at SCIAC Championships as she carded a 71, the second-lowest round in program history. She got better throughout the year as she tied for 34th at SCIAC #1, tied for eighth at SCIAC #2 and tied for fourth at SCIAC Championships

Cornejo (Bakersfield, Calif.) and the Regals placed third in SCIAC in her senior season. She averaged 85 strokes per round and had a low round of 81 twice. She was 28th at SCIAC #1, tied for 32nd at SCIAC #2 and tied for 26th at SCIAC Championships
