Nick Isham guided the Kingsmen to a SCIAC opening 34-24 victory at Whittier on Saturday evening. He accumulated 280 total yards by carrying the ball 15 times for 127 yards and going 12-for-19 for 153 yards through the air. Isham averaged 8.5 yards per carry and 8.2 yards per pass against the Poets. He was responsible for two touchdowns, one on an eight-yard scurry in the first quarter and another by way of a 15-yard completion to Andrew Worthley. The longest rush of the game for the transfer was for 25 yards and his longest pass of the day was a 29-yard connection with JoJo Curriel. Additionally, he was not sacked and did not throw an interception.
