Bufkin Involved In Two Match Wins In 2-7 Loss

PASADENA, Calif. – The Regals were downed 2-7 by the Beavers in their Saturday morning road match.

Carmen Bufkin and Brennan Foreman started the day strong taking the first doubles match off Caltech. They had the comfortable lead and won 8-3. The beavers took the second two doubles matches 8-4.

Bufkin was in the one-spot for the singles matches for the Purple and Gold and she took her match in three sets. She went down early losing the first set 3-6 but fought right back and took the second set 6-3. They battled out the tie-breaker but Bufkin came out victorious 10-8.

Foreman and Luisa Garcia were the closest other singles to taking a set from the Beavers but they were unable.

The Purple and Gold left tonight to go to Hawaii for a match tomorrow against Hawaii Pacific at 2 PM PST.
