Regals Upset Bulldogs On Their Homecoming Weekend

Redlands, Calif. – Regals soccer traveled to Redlands for a Saturday morning game and came home with the 2-0 shut out. 

The Purple and Gold started the game with a heavy offensive presence and out shot the Bulldogs 10-6 to in the first half. Gabby Flores collected one save in the first 45. 

Danielle Vis found the feet of Mackenzie Boulware to get the first goal of the match. This is Boulware's fifth goal of the season. 

Just as the first half was wrapping up, center mid Izzy Martinez found Darya Rasoli to put another ball in the back of the net in the 41stminute. This was Rasoli's first goal this season. 

They went into halftime with a secure lead of 2-0. 

The Regals kept a heavy offensive presence and had another seven chances but weren't able to capitalize in the second half.

The Bulldogs tested Flores in the second 45 with eight shots. They forced her to make six saves in order to keep the clean slate. 

The Regals forced five corner kicks throughout the 90 minutes. The scoring ended in the first half for the Purple and Gold but they made sure to keep a strong defensive presence to keep the Bulldogs from scoring.
