GLADEWATER, Texas — California Lutheran University women's golf was the runner-up at the Tempest Intercollegiate with a score of 68-over-par and was led by Claire Cornejo as she fired an 11-over-par and tied for fourth. 

It was their final tournament of the fall season. The event was hosted by LeTourneau University at the Tempest Golf Club. It included eight teams, 45 individuals and had a Par of 72. 

The team of C. Cornejo, Tara Ng, Grace Cornejo, Ashley Zook and Jett Legacion combined to give the Regals their best finish of the fall. The Purple and Gold shot a 321 on day one and 323 on day two to finish with 644 strokes. The Regals finished with the second-most birdies at the event as they recorded 15. 

C. Cornejo secured her top-five finish as she recorded a 77 over the first 18 holes and a 78 over the second for 155 strokes. She tied for the fourth-best average on Par 4s with 5.13 and tied for the second-most birdies with five. 

Ng made it two Regals in the top-15 as she shot 19-over-par and tied for 12^th with 163 strokes. She shot an 84 on day one and then improved with a 79 on day two as she moved up 10 spots. She tied for the fifth-best average on Par 4s and recorded three birdies. 

G. Cornejo and Zook made it four Regals in the top-20 as they tied for 16^th. The duo finished at 20-over-par with 164 strokes. 

G. Cornejo tallied 81-83, tied for ninth in scoring average on Par 5s with 5.38 and was second on the team with 18 Pars. Zook shot 79-85, tied for the third-best scoring average for Par 3s with 3.13 and tied for second on the team with three birdies. 

Legacion finished her tournament at 29-over-par with 173 strokes. She shot a 90 on the first day and turned it around to fire an 83 on the second and moved up four spots. 

The tournament concluded the fall competition for the Regals. The Purple and Gold start their spring season in February.
