Jenia Karimov was hired as an assistant coach for the men's and women's tennis teams in January of 1999. He left Cal Lutheran after the 2010-11 season and came back in 2018 to take on the same position.

He played for Cal Lutheran where he was the No. 2 player in the Nation in singles and won the National Championship in doubles in 1997. He was SCIAC Player of the Year in 1998 and an All-American in singles and doubles in 1997 and 1998.

He is currently resides in Westlake Village with his wife and 2 kids and is also a Tennis Coach with Total Tennnis Academy.
