Kingsmen Tie #23 Bulldogs In A 110 Minute Battle

REDLANDS, Calif – Kingsmen soccer took on #23 Redland Bulldogs and ended in a double overtime tie 1-1.

The purple and gold had a total of six shots in the first half but couldn't seem to find the back of the net. 10 different Kingsmen tallied at least one shot but it wasn't until the second half that they were able to make one fall.

Chris Pelaez and Jackson Endsley had three shots each.

The Kingsmen conceded a goal in the 78th minute but quickly bounced back. Exactly one minute later Pelaez connected with freshman teammate Endsley to put one in the back of the net. He found himself in the box and kept his composure to put it past the keep in the far corner.

The Kingsmen had a strong offensive presence throughout the whole game but were only able to get one ball in the back of the net. In the second half they tallied another seven shots to test the Bulldogs keeper.

The purple and gold's back line stayed connected throughout the 110 minutes making it hard for the Bulldogs to get legitimate chances.

Ivan Lumbrano covered the goal line in all 110 minutes to help keep the Kingsmen in the game. He racked up a total of six saves on the night.

They host Chapman on Wednesday in William Rolland Stadium at 4:00 pm.
