Cody came to California Lutheran University in 2001 as an undergraduate student. He graduated in May of 2005 with a BS in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine with an emphasis in Athletic Training. The following August he became the graduate assistant for the Athletic Training Department at CLU. Cody was hired on full-time in May of 2007. He then graduated from CLU once again in 2008 with his Master’s in Education with an emphasis is Counseling and Guidance. He was named the Head Athletic Trainer in the fall of 2021.

Cody hails from Blythe, CA where he was a four-sport athlete at Palo Verde High School. He continued his athletic pursuits at CLU with the football team for one season before turning to the Athletic Training Education Program. Cody now lives in Simi Valley with his wife Johanna, son Declan, daughter Delaney, and his dog Miles. In his free time, Cody enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, running, and cooking.
