Ib Belou joined the Cal Lutheran men's basketball coaching staff for the 2022-23 season. Coach Belou assists with recruiting, scouting, game preparation along with player development. 

Prior to his time at Cal Lutheran, Belou was the Head Coach at Glendale High School. During his tenure, Glendale had two of the all-time winningest seasons in both 2018 and 2019. Under Coach Belou’s leadership, the team made the playoffs in four of six seasons and produced 12 All League (First/Second team) players. Including an All-CIF selection. In addition to the on-court success, Coach Belou remains extremely proud of the personal growth his players achieved off the court. 

Belou has a Masters in education from Cal State Northridge and remains a teacher at Glendale High school, where he has taught since 2010.
