Regals Compete at Pomona-Pitzer Invite; Moreno Gutierrez Clocks Program’s 21st Fastest Time on Course

CLAREMONT, Calif. — Maraitzel Moreno Gutierrez  led Cal Lutheran women's cross country at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite and recorded the program's 21st fastest time on Saturday morning. 

Moreno Gutierrez had a time of 25 minutes and 3.4 seconds and placed 76th to lead her squad. The Regals placed 14thwith 390 points.  

It was the first 6k of the season for the Regals and first-ever for Moreno Gutierrez, Hailey Peters and Dinkenesh Coltvet

Also competing for the team was Cora Hautekeete as she placed 109th with 26:32.5, Brooke Hougo in 128th with 28:01.9, Peters in 137th with 29:01.2, and Coltvert in 144th with 32:16.6. 

The Regals continue their season next Saturday. Cal Lutheran is at the Highlander Invitational and it starts at 8 a.m.
