CLAREMONT, Calif. — Maraitzel Moreno Gutierrez  led Cal Lutheran women's cross country at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite and recorded the program's 21^st fastest time on Saturday morning. 

Moreno Gutierrez had a time of 25 minutes and 3.4 seconds and placed 76^th to lead her squad. The Regals placed 14^thwith 390 points.  

It was the first 6k of the season for the Regals and first-ever for Moreno Gutierrez, Hailey Peters and Dinkenesh Coltvet. 

Also competing for the team was Cora Hautekeete as she placed 109^th with 26:32.5, Brooke Hougo in 128^th with 28:01.9, Peters in 137^th with 29:01.2, and Coltvert in 144^th with 32:16.6. 

The Regals continue their season next Saturday. Cal Lutheran is at the Highlander Invitational and it starts at 8 a.m.
