All Four Regals Improve Times at Master’s Invitational

SANTA CLARITA, Calif.– The California Lutheran University women's cross-country team had a fantastic day at the Master's Invitational as all four Regals improved their times from a season ago at the same competition. CLU also posted their fastest 5k of the season.

"The Regals raced very strong today and worked well together," said Assistant Coach Brett Halvaks, "They were all patient through the first mile then really pushed the pace the rest of the 

Veronica Redpath led the way for the Regals, finishing 98thoverall and posting a time of 19:36.9 on the day.

Not far behind was Rachel Ereso, coming in at 19:45.1 which was good enough for 107thoverall. 

Caroline Slate had a career day on the course, earning a lifetime 5k-best time of 20:08.0.

The final Regal to improve upon last season's course time was Olivia Becker, crossing the line at 20:29.5

Cal Lutheran returns to action Oct. 19 at 8:45 a.m. when the Kingsmen compete in the Bronco Invitational at the Baylands Regional Park in Sunnyvale, Calif.
