CLAREMONT, Calif. — Two Cal Lutheran Regals joined junior Rachel Ereso in the top-25 all-time course list after Saturday's mornings competition at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational. Ereso led the pack, while freshman Caroline Slate and Olivia Becker wrote their names into program history.

Ereso came in 42nd with a time of 24:20.2. Though her time did not beat her mark from last season, the junior still holds the fourth best time on the course with her 23:45.79 from 2017.

Just behind her, Slate crossed the line at 24:49.0, good for 53rd. She was less than two seconds shy of her lifetime personal record and is now 16th on the Cal Lutheran all-time list for the course, which the Regals have run since 2009.

Coming in third for the Regals, Becker ran a course-best, finishing in 78th at 25:35.9. She also breaks into the top-25, now in possession of the 23-spot on the course.

In her first 6K competition, freshman Ashley Gomez recorded a 26:31.7 (98th), coming in fourth amongst the team. Following her, junior Cameron Baggs (26:54.1) and freshman Sam Torres (26:57.2) rounded out the group in 103rd and 104th, respectively.

"I thought the team ran really well considering this was the first time we have ran back-to-back weekends in many years," explained head coach Matt Lea, "I felt like they might've been a little more tired than normal today, but I was happy with how they fought out there today."

The team now looks toward the SCIAC Championships on Saturday, October 27. The race kicks off at 9:45 a.m. at Prado Park in Chino Hills, California.
