Women’s Water Polo, 14 Regals Earn All-Academic

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced its annual women's water polo All-Academic awards and Cal Lutheran ranked 21st in the nation in team grade point average with 14 individuals garnering recognition.

The Regals, 2019 SCIAC Tournament Champions, earned a team GPA of 3.35. There 21st ranking is among all collegiate water polo teams across every division of the NCAA.

The individual recognition has three different categories that include Outstanding (4.0-3.71 GPA), Superior (3.70-3.41) and Excellent (3.40-3.20).

Earning the highest honor for an Outstanding GPA was Kaitlin Garrett, Nicole Guerriero, Christin Hirn, All-America Honorable Mention Victoria Rose Meek, Mackenzie Thomas and Jamie Sanders

Four Regals earned the next tier as First Team All-America honorees Lexi Rond and Nikki Roed garnered Superior status. Joining them were Megan Seeman and Susanna Zdolsek.   

The final group, for Excellent, consisted of Jessica Diaz, All-America Honorable Mention Mardell Ramirez, Kaitlin Gardhouse and Rachel Ray
